Spent last Saturday trying to keep a straight face
as I saw you in the back,
asked me "what's up" as I sat
and thought of all the things I have
against the shit you do.
I'll try to not hold that against you.
Sometimes we don't even like the ones of whom we love.
Sometimes I don't really like myself.

Spent last Monday thinking about the weekend
and all of the stupid shit that wore my conscious thin,
and people who I barely know drunkingly feeding my ego and then forgetting who I am.

I hope that I don't forget you when I'm busy being someone other than myself.
I hope I see you around. I hope that night that freaked me out doesn't make shit a little too weird.
