Can’t help but fret the golden hues,
the luster always dissipates
into exhaustive shades of grays and blacks from blue.
It makes me keep abandoning any sorta good routine I’ve had.
Like shuffling to pass the time instead of just waiting, living with intent, but now everything just sorta happens.
And I just happen to still be here!


In a sense, I guess I get it.
Cuz the cycles, they repeat.
And the patterns can be syncopated,
but the melody stays the same.
And I often tend to wonder
at what point does exception
become an excessive compromise?
Cuz I can’t help but feel kinda fucked up
sleeping through tomorrow
because of last night that I can hardly remember anyway!


So prop me up in dim lit rooms
pump in spirits, conversations.
Salvage my tattered body
my soul, translucent, foggy.
Don’t cover me, please smother
because outside it's so cold and shitty!
I’d like to call this home.
This city’s got what little there is that’s left of me!


One day I’ll be claimed by the fertile greens,
in saturated landscapes, developer schemes.
(This is such a pretty place to be!)
But everything preceding doesn’t have to be me leaning into every shitty thing that keep me fiending constant negativity.
(I don’t know why!)


All the washed out filters conquer continuity
we’re restless, aimless, wired.
There’s a subtle art to patience, but these days
I’m so fucking tired.
Grandiose existence doesn’t feel realistic.
I’m alright with just kinda being alive.
